      Permanent Hair Removal

Will laser treatment remove hair permanently

Even for seasoned waxers, shavers, and hair pluckers, there is little joy in the hair removal process. We’ve all wished for a magical way to permanently get rid of unwanted hairs, a way to save time and effort and cause no pain. There are alternatives like laser hair removal, but an effective course of this can easily dent your budget.

If only there was a way to permanently reduce hair at home!

      Well, there is

Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) is a technology that uses focused light of a wavelength specifically calibrated to target specific structures, such as your hair follicles. The light, in essence, deactivates these follicles and prevents those hairs from growing back.

      Their Origins

Intense pulsed light technology has evolved significantly since its introduction to the medical community 20 years ago. Now these devices can be used safely and effectively for the cosmetic treatment of many vascular lesions, unwanted hair, and pigmented lesions. Newer technologies often able to give results equal to those of laser treatments.

      For now

Some devices have been developed from those early trials for use first in salons, and now in the home, so you can achieve these lasting results yourself. For a fraction of the price that you would pay for a course of treatments in a salon you could buy the Veet Infini’silk Pro, which after just five or six treatments will start showing results, and can permanently reduce hair growth by around 54%!

      How to use it:

First, it’s important to decide whether you’re sure you want to permanently remove your hair using this method. Secondly, it’s important that you read all instructions provided carefully before attempting to use the device.

      1. If you have decided you want to try the device, then shave, or use a depilatory cream, on the area to ensure that the light pulses can all reach the follicles. This removes the extra-long hair present. Waxing or plucking isn’t suitable for this though, as the root has to be there for the IPL to be effective.
      2. Power up the device, starting on the lowest setting (although you can increase this to the setting that works best for you). Then press the device up against the area where you want to remove the hair, and pull the trigger.
      3. The device automatically reads the colour of your skin to determine whether it’s safe to apply the treatment, and then will flash a pulse of the intense light that goes all the way down in to the hair follicles.
      4. Move the device to another area, and repeat as necessary.

      As Easy as That

Over as little as three months you could be seeing the benefits of permanent hair removal. So you shouldn’t have to feel that there is no alternative to your current routine, as permanent hair reduction in the comfort of your own home is only a few sessions away!
